Wise, nimble, and diminutively green, Yoda never spent too much time worrying; understanding that a great plan reduces the “What Ifs?”. We believe that the best solution is always the most informed.

Challenges and Opportunities

Everyone at Inventive holds themselves to a high bar for quality, efficacy, and innovation, but our Solution Architects certainly hold themselves to the highest. Solution Architects operate like true experts as they drive projects from end-to-end.
On any given day, Solution Architects will be identifying and recommending optimal solutions for clients; developing and presenting technical proposals, translating requirements into project plans and deliverables; and considering factors such as cost-effectiveness, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
Different from our Technical Architect role, a Solution Architect is more of a cross-functional leader and engineering team lead. They are highly collaborative with a variety of teams from Sales, Product, Design, and Project Management, and ensure that all due diligence is completed and risks are mitigated; scope and assumptions are documented; and confirm that we’re providing a quality experience and product to our clients.
Lastly, Solution Architects are true Evangelists for Inventive. They share ideas often to a broader audience often and let their geek flag fly! They are not only crazy innovative, but sensible and business-minded.
Because we want you to be successful, having proven success and unbreakable confidence in an Architect role is invaluable to us. Ideal candidates will have broad knowledge of many full-stack software development and cloud technologies, and a sincere desire to mentor the team, guide the clients, and pioneer new growth at Inventive.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience that’s required (and really important to have):
- 10+ years of relevant engineering/architect experience; preferably in a consultancy
- 8+ years of dynamic experience working as a Software Engineer
- 5+ years building large, scalable, and distributed software applications
- Solid track record as an Architect on full-stack integrations and cloud migrations
- Strong business acumen coupled with engineering, architecture, and business skills
- Proven success owning technical projects, leading clients and mentoring others
- Expertise in multiple languages e.g. JavaScript, Flutter, C# & C++
- Expertise with multiple datastores e.g. MySQL, MongoDB & CosmosDB
- Proficient in multiple front-end frameworks and Libraries e.g. ReactJS & Vue
- Proficient in more than one cloud environment e.g. AWS, Azure & GCP
- Proficient with multiple CI/CD tools e.g. Git, Azure DevOps, and TeamCity
- Ability to develop software in a Linux and/or Windows environments
- Ability to work effectively with people and enjoy helping others achieve their goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bulletproof technical documentation
- Public speaking and/or accreditations like Microsoft MVP
