As a Senior Product Manager, you will be at the forefront of our Discoveries initiative, a key component of our pre-sales strategy. Working remotely, but never alone, you'll be a key player in an innovation lab, collaborating with our internal teams in sales, engineering, design, and project management, and directly engaging with a diverse range of clients across multiple industries.

Be the Client's Champion:

 
  • Serve as the principal advocate for our clients from discovery to implementation, ensuring a smooth, transparent journey aligned with their goals.
  • Commit to making a tangible difference by doing the right thing, making sure our clients feel valued and their voices heard.
  • Go beyond delivery by ensuring that the results we produce truly meet the clients' needs and expectations, reinforcing that our success is measured not just by shipping, but by the real-world impact we make for our clients.
 

Drive the Strategy and Development: 

 
  • Identify and address key problems to solve, defining success criteria in line with business objectives, market demands, and project constraints.
  • Engage deeply in requirement gathering and cross-functional collaboration to develop complete solutions, effectively bridging client needs and our technological capabilities.
  • Interact directly with customers to align product roadmaps with genuine user needs and strategically plan releases, fostering ongoing partnerships for future projects.
  • Utilize a range of Discovery techniques to effectively identify, develop, and organize user stories, achieving a detailed understanding of the user journey and their essential tasks.
  • Direct product delivery, including agile ceremonies like sprint planning, to convert visions into actionable plans, ensuring successful execution.
  • Collaborate with engineering to evaluate the product's feasibility and viability, focusing on technical architecture and scalability to guarantee the delivery of robust solutions.
 

Foster Collaboration and Ignite Innovation:

 
  • Drive creative thinking through customer and stakeholder interviews, challenging conventional ideas to generate innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering to develop and refine prototypes, ensuring solutions address risks and validate value and viability.
  • Lead ongoing usability and value testing, focusing on user experience and product-market fit, and employing a mix of qualitative and quantitative strategies.
  • Encourage team adaptability to remain at the forefront of industry trends and embrace new technologies, further strengthening our capacity for innovation.
  • Guide your team, partner with clients to make necessary trade-offs, and leverage your expertise to tackle our customers' most complex technology challenges with straightforward, yet effective and viable solutions.
 

Elevate Others: 

 
  • Champion product thinking, nurturing strong collaboration across the team, particularly between designers and engineers.
  • Emphasize the importance of continuous learning and staying at the top of the latest in technology trends, product discovery, and delivery methodologies.
  • Shape our future by contributing to the vision and strategy for Discoveries, influencing long-term initiatives and approaches.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience that’s required (and really important to have): 

 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • At least five years of experience in technology-powered product roles 
  • Experienced with product-market fit and go-to-market strategy.
  • Demonstrated success in launching B2B, B2C, and/or B2B2C products or services.
  • Adept in high-growth environments where it’s commonplace to adapt to changing scenarios, time tight frames, and uncertainty
  • Proven success leading and fostering constructive and collaborative relationships with engineers, designers, and stakeholders
  • Advanced understanding of modern product discovery and delivery techniques
  • Ability to contribute across multiple business functions – such as design to engineering and marketing
  • Strong problem-solving with the capacity to make informed, risk-assessed decisions
  • Detail-orientation, with an keen ability manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Persistence to help the team meet goals successfully
  • Empathy and a willingness to help others across the company
 

Wildly impressive folks will also have experience with:

 
  • Evangelist-type roles e.g. public speaking, content writing, et al. 
  • Software engineering and/or web development
  • Proven experience working in both startups and enterprise environments.

Contracting at Inventive: 
This role is budgeted for a part-time (15+ hours ongoing contract).
